To Al Bowman for asking us to play a last minute gig as a replacement band for his LA Music Awards Show at the Whiskey a Go Go.
And to all the fans, new and old, who showed up on short notice to help us make this set spectacular.
And to the other artists/bands who played that night… The Hopdown Bilby Band, an amazing country band that simply tore up the stage, Blues Gone South, simply an amazing blues band (there’s a reason why they won the Best in OC Award), Canadian pop/rock artist Amy Heffernan, and of course the San Diego rockers who brought quite the large crowd with them, The Regulators. If there’s anyone we forgot to mention, don’t feel bad, everybody rocked that night!
It was truly an honor to share the stage with such a diverse line up of talented performers. Can’t wait to do it again!
It happened last minute, but here we are, playing a big fancy showcase next Thursday the 25th at the world famous Whiskey a Go Go in Hollywood. By golly.
…Music Connection Magazine, a reputable trade publication, will be present at out next Pasadena show on March 9th, covering the festivities. To all our loyal fans, we can’t wait to see you there! Let’s show Music Connection what SHOPPY is all about! Don’t forget your viking helmets!
Thanks to all who came to The Terrace last Tuesday. We had no idea what to expect from this venue, but it’s a pretty cool spot. Apparently, they also have Japanese Cuisine, which is fine with us. We’re all about cuisine. Our drummer/lead singer Chad is actually quite the culinary master himself. Or near-master… One day, we will have a show where we cook donuts while we perform, and then through donuts out to the crowd in between songs. We don’t know which day, but one day!
Teresa Tucker, thank you having us out. The stage is great, the sound is awesome, and thanks for the people who stayed and watched us do our thing (sans donuts). We will be back at The Terrace in Pasadena MARCH 9th, save the date…
Shoppy is coming at ya! We will be playing the 9th of this month AND next month at The Terrace in Pasadena. And as a special treat for those crazy young people, we are honored to be playing at the Pasadena Community College on the 23rd. More info one our dates page here.
Want Shoppy to come to your neck of the woods? Hit us up.
Hello Shoppy fans! For the heck of it, we had our friend Jeffrey Easton come down and film one of our recent rehearsals. We put a little teaser of the footage up on YouTube, you can check it out in our video section or find it here. It’s our modest tribute to the late King of Pop. Let us know what you think, as always you can email us at info@shoppymusic.com.
For those of you who made it out to the Vibe in Riverside on the Saturday after Christmas, thank very much for coming out to show your support! We always have an awesome time playing with our friends from the band Knock Out. If you missed the show, we will be making recordings of it available shortly, so keep visiting back.
Additionally, if you missed the show or just can’t get enough Shoppy live, be sure to check out our monthly residency at the Royal Falconer in Riverside, every first Tuesday!
Welcome to the launch of our brand new website! We love you for supporting our music. We’ve amassed a catalog of 40 songs (and we jam a few wicked covers, too) and will be making selections from that catalog available for free on our website in the months to come, so keep checking back! Additionally, we have a new band manager who is really putting our behind-the-scenes business together and we couldn’t be happier. If you have any booking, business, press or other such inquiries you can contact him hans@hansfink.com or, if you have any inquiries in general or in random that you’d like to ask the band, hit us up at info@shoppymusic.com. Big things are coming from your one and only friendly neighborhood Shoppy, so be sure to check back for updates on shows, merch, new music and videos.
Thanks again for your support.
Shoppy loves you!
